The city of Templeton falls within the Paso Robles and the York Mountain American Viticulture Areas, winemaking regions that combined span over 650,000 acres from San Miguel in the north to Santa Margarita in the South, and from the Santa Lucia Mountains in the west to Shandon in the east.

There are over 200 wineries between the Paso Robles and York Mountain AVAs, many of which fall directly within the city of Templeton’s boundaries.
