ABOUT THE PACIFIC COAST WINE TRAIL

The Pacific Coast Wine Trail was established in 2013 as a way to both represent the vineyards and wineries located along San Luis Obispo County’s northern coast, and to provide visitors to the area an opportunity for wine tasting without having to drive 30 miles east to Paso Robles, or south to San Luis Obispo.

The wine trail stretches from San Simeon to Cayucos along SLO County’s northern coast, and officially represents six wineries, two of which have tasting rooms on their properties with views of the vineyards.

There is an additional third vineyard tasting room not associated with the wine trail, and several more tasting rooms located near all the food and fun in downtown Cambria.

Although not officially part of any of the certified American Viticulture Areas in San Luis Obispo’s wine country, the wineries along the PCW Trail tend to produce amazing Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Zinfandel varietals. This up-and-coming region is also one of the most beautiful in the county, and should not be missed on a wine tasting weekend to the central coast!
