National IPA Day is August 1, 2019! To celebrate we found nine IPAs brewed right…
National Tequila Day falls on July 24th this year, and we found eight great places around San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Nipomo where you can have a delicious margarita, indulge in a flight of tequila, or both to celebrate!
La Esquina Taqueria: Tequila Flight
La Esquina Taqueria in San Luis Obispo is serious about their tequilas, and the expansive selection of curated blancos, reposados, and añejos shows how much love and respect they have for this incredible drink. Their “Our Favorite” Tequila Flight is hand-picked by their employees, and showcases some of the best tequila they have available. There are also margaritas on the menu if a flight isn’t your fancy, but either way there is no better way to celebrate National Tequila Day!
1865 Craft House: The Unicorn Paloma
With a name like the Unicorn Paloma how could you not try this margarita at 1865 Craft House in SLO on National Tequila Day?! Made with Patrón Silver, ruby red grapefruit, a butterfly tea ice cube, and pink and black salt it is literally a unicorn in a drink…and after a couple you might just feel like one too!
Fish Goucho: Charred Jalapeño – Pineapple
The Charred Jalapeño-Pineapple Margarita at Fish Goucho in Paso Robles is the perfect summer drink, and a great way to celebrate National Tequila Day. The pineapple makes the margarita so refreshing, and the jalapeño gives it just the right kick without being too spicy or overwhelming. Normally crafted with El Jimador Tequila, you can also pick from El Goucho’s huge selection and really celebrate tequila’s big day!
Mestiza: Mestiza Margarita
The Mestiza Margarita is a traditional drink made with Luna Azul Blanco tequila, lime juice, orange juice, agave nectar…and most importantly Liquor 43, the best secret ingredient for margaritas EVER. If you have never tried a margarita with Liquor 43 then you definitely need to make your way to Mestiza in San Luis Obispo for National Tequila Day and see what the fuss is all about!

Ventana Grill: Tequila Flight
Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach is well known for their Sunday Brunch, but they also have an extensive tequila selection for visitors and locals to indulge. Their Tequila Flights include three tastes, sangrita, and salted limes, and are organized by the type of tequila (i.e. Blanco, Reposado, and two levels of Añejo). Between the beautiful location and incredible selection there is hardly a better place to celebrate National Tequila Day than Ventana Grill!
The Mark: The Markarita
The Markarita at The Mark is made with El Jimador Blanco Tequila, sweet n sour, triple sec, lime juice, fresh lime, and agave syrup. Yum! Plus they have the best food ever to pair with margaritas: TACOS! Located in San Luis Obispo with some of the best views of downtown there is no better place for dinner and drinks on National Tequila Day!
Luna Red: Tequila Verde
Luna Red uses Cimarrón Blanco Tequila in their Tequila Verde with a little bit of jalapeño, cilantro, lime, and agave nectar to round out the drink…and it is as delicious as it is beautiful! Located in downtown San Luis Obispo, Luna Red is not only a great place to indulge in a margarita for National Tequila day, they also have a fantastic menu to perfectly compliment the drinks in order to really celebrate tequila’s big day.
Las Cazuelas Restaurant: Tequila Flight
Las Cazuelas in Nipomo has been serving their family’s recipes for three generations, and during that time has curated over 60 tequilas for our drinking pleasure.
