National IPA Day is August 1, 2019! To celebrate we found nine IPAs brewed right here in San Luis Obispo County, so raise and glass and prost to National IPA Day!


Cal Coast Beer

Cal Coast Beer opened in Paso Robles in June 2019, and has been killing it with their beer game ever since. Right now there are seven beers on the menu, including an IPA, giving any beer lover the perfect excuse to head over and have a pint for National IPA Day!

7 Sisters Brewing is a sustainable, small batch brewery in San Luis Obispo with as much of a love for nature as the rest of us. They describe their IPA as “singled hopped” that has a “pleasant bitterness with tropical fruit, non-citrusy flavors”…which sounds like the perfect drink to celebrate National IPA Day!

Silva Brewing

The owners of Silva Brewing moved to Paso Robles with big dreams of opening a small farm brewery, and have started down that path with a small tasting room behind The Pour House on Spring Street. Today they brew 19 distinct beers, including the POHO, an American-Style Red IPA named in honor of the Pour House. Firestone Walker is known for their wide variety of beers, but Mind Haze is their first foray into a Hazy IPA. According to their Brewmaster Matt Brynildson, Mind Haze is “a hazy IPA the Firestone way” and the beer is packed with tropical hoppy flavors. A definite winner in our book to celebrate National IPA Day!

BarrelHouse Brewing Co. was established in 2013, and has become a staple of Tin City in Paso Robles with the “Good People Good Times, and Great Beer” they bring to the area.
